Super mom

Somedays I feel like a SuperMom! Hehehe... Especially when I sit down at the end of the day and go through my mental 'things I have done today' list!
Today was one of those productive days!:)
Here's my list:
-got Samuel out of bed and ready for school.
-packed my online orders.
-got Samuel out of the house and in time for school.(this is a daily challenge!! Urgh!)
-made sharlene take her afternoon nap.(this one is another challenge!)
-cooked lunch... Invented new recipe, yum!!
-put sharlene back to her nap when she got up.
-baked a cake!(happy call cake!)
-brought sharlene out to fetch Sammy back from school(this one I needed extra help... Mummy to the rescue!)
-made Sammy's bento dinner!:)

Phew! What a day!:)

I can flip!!:)

My first proper slip n mummy witnessed the whole thing! I feel like a big girl now... Hehe even though mummy says I still hv lots of milestones to go.:)

Four's a family

Its rather hard to take one of these lately coz both mama m's n daddy d's hands are full when we are out..


So it's good going out with friends coz they can help u to snap nice pics, like this one , which we took at the airport when we brought samuel there to see the planes.. :)

Tiring days

Somedays bringing up 2 kids can really be draining. The days and hours just fly by in a wink and all those little boxes that you had on your 'things to do today' list are all still unchecked and staring at your blank looking tired face. In fact, come to think if it, you have a heap of such lists.

Throw in a wailing baby and toddler and that can really get to you especially if you'd only had 3 hours of sleep the night before.

Now that you're a mom, you know how tough it is being one. Its a thankless job with no off days and worse thing is no one really understands what you're going through.It's like going into battle and you're on your own.
I'm just so tired today. Sigh :(

Sharlene's 1st month

We had a small celebration for Sharlene's 1st month on Sunday.:)
How time flies! A month has passed... It's seems fast but also slow at certain times.
It's fast now that aunty is here... I'm sure it'll slow down once she leaves. I'm still not sure how we will cope when she goes off :(
Days n nights of insanity will be back... Sigh!
God give 'me strength!!
I often tell myself I can do it... I can balance two kids. But when chaos strikes, I'm really not sure anymore.:((

A note for dear Samuel

Hi my dear little boy!

Just a note that mummy misses you very much. I hope when u read this when you are bigger, you will understand better what was going on when your mei mei Sharlene was born.
Mummy and Daddy both love you a lot. We put you with Grandma so that you will be well taken care off while mummy and daddy try our best to cope with mei mei. She's very small and not easy to look after now.
Plus you are not well and can't be too near mei mei in case she gets your germs.
We hope you will love mei mei as much as we love you too! I'm sure mei mei will grow to love kir kor samuel n mummy looks forward to the day both of you can play together.
Miss my cheerful little boy n see you soon my dear! Muack :*

The 11/11/11 baby

Little Sharlene chose her own birthdate. A nice date it is!:)
We had one false alarm to the hospital and a night of bad contractions for mummy before her grand entrance.
Went to the hospital on 11/11 at 10+ am after Sammy went to sch.
Nothing much took place between that till 5pm when dr Ong came, except for a nasty 'anema-dustbin' incident and mummy requesting for epidural around 1.
We were glad we manage to get dr chong in the end after all it was a busy day of births.:) painless epidural!! Yay!
So we waited... 5cm after epidural... Then dr Ong ordered a drip n we moved along to 6cm...
At 5pm when he came he said baby was ready to be out! What a surprise!
So everything was made ready n Dr Ong assisted with forceps so as not to stress mummy's previous csection wound n with 2 big pushes out came the little girl Sharlene with a loud cry!
3.1kg n 52cm long!:))
Smooth delivery we thank God for! N we also got a single bed rm that we hoped for!
God is great!:)
